Situated at Mountain View Innovation Centre, Babbage’s has evolved from its original guise as a dairy shed into a contemporary multi-use space that can just as easily offer a bright and airy seminar, conferencing and meeting space as it can morph into a vibrant event and party space for up to 180 guests. Offering an intelligent canvas to inspire innovation and creativity, Babbage’s boasts cutting edge facilities and a modular multi-functional design able to host a wide range of events including seminars, conferencing, away days, meetings, exhibitions, special occasion events and more. With our onsite catering partners, Babbage’s Bistro & Bar able to provide a fully licensed bar, and adept at delivering catering options for all occasions, Babbage’s is the perfect venue choice, whatever your requirements.
Babbage's Bistro
Babbage’s is complemented by Babbage’s Bistro and Bar, which can cater for a range of events and menu requirements; from canapes to formal sit–down meals. A fully licensed bar is available, and the licensed area extends into the outdoor space which benefits from breath-taking views across the Sulby River and up to North Barrule.

With its modular sub-divisible design and top of the range AV facilities, Babbage’s is ideal for hosting your seminar, conference or away day. With a variety of layout options, breakout spaces and access to 25 acres of green spaces and nature walks, you will be spoilt for choice for options to plan your event. For those looking for a more intimate and exclusive meeting space, the Newton Meeting Room, situated upstairs in Babbage’s, boasts a feature floor to ceiling glass window and high–quality AV, and is ideal for gatherings of up to 40 people. Add in that our catering partners at Babbage’s Bistro can provide a range of catering options and you’ve everything you need to deliver your event to the highest of expectations.
“Manx Minds has used Mountain View/Babbages both as a seminar and conference venue. The facilities are airy, bright and comfortable. Technical services are excellent and work seamlessly. All the staff are very accommodating and couldn't do enough to help make sure everything was in place and ran smoothly. Set in the middle of the gorgeous Manx countryside, MVIC is a beautiful, peaceful venue to have our annual MHFA IOM conference. The grounds and vista are fabulous, offering plenty of space for a wander at lunch time and loads of free parking is a big plus. Delegates enjoy having the option to eat on-site in 'Babbage's Bistro & Bar', which is always excellent.

As well as benefitting from our fully licensed bar, Babbage’s is able to offer a multitude of AV options to align with your entertainment needs; whether it be connecting your DJ to our sound system, designed and installed by the team that delivered the AV for the Albert Hall, using our RGBW lighting to brand or theme your event or even using our 156” video wall to display greetings or photos.
